“Framingham’s Collective Journeys: Stories of Immigration, 1960-Present” Exhibition
Location: Edgell Memorial Library & Village Hall on the Common, Oak Street, Framingham
Join the Framingham History Center to explore the recent history of immigration to Framingham featured in our latest exhibition “Framingham’s Collective Journeys: Stories of Immigration, 1960-Present.” Through oral histories, interactives, and artifacts, this exhibition invites you to engage with the lives and experiences of those who have immigrated to Framingham to contribute to the grander culture of this New England city.
This afternoon grand opening celebration is free to the public from 1:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. Bring the whole family for hands-on arts & crafts, games from around the world, and 30-minute multilingual tours starting at 1:30p.m. No food will be served – please plan accordingly by visiting businesses in the area!
Edgell Memorial Library

The Edgell Memorial Library, one of the few remaining Victorian Gothic style buildings in the area, anchors the Centre Common in Framingham, a quintessential New England town common.

The mission of the Framingham History Center is to preserve and share Framingham’s history in order to encourage connection to community.
The Framingham History Center was established in 1888 as the Framingham Natural History and Historical Society. We celebrate Framingham’s history by providing a rich offering of public events, lectures, exhibitions, celebrations, and tours. We inspire and educate the public, provide community gatherings, and share historical research resources with all.
