Much of what is really important in life can be found right at home, that's why finding the right home is so important. Our early New England cape was fashioned after several authentic 18th century homes found along the Connecticut countryside. These charming structures contain timbered ceilings, wide plank floors and handcrafted features that are rarely found in homes today. It is easy to imagine family members and friends gathered around the large center fireplace sharing stories and time together. This is a home building system. What you purchase are fully engineered building plans, detailed construction diagrams, and materials you need to make your home look just like our model. The system includes our unique timbered ceiling / framing package, pre-cut wall studs, rafters and offers hand-made materials that cannot be found at a lumberyard. These materials include bead board trim, wide floor boards, hand-planed paneling, stairs, doors, custom options and hand-forged hardware. This system enables your local builder, working with Early New England Homes, to build the home of your dreams. Built in 1768 on the Boston Post Road in Weston, the Golden Ball Tavern was established and operated by prominent Weston resident, Isaac Jones. The tavern "at the sign of the Golden Ball" operated as an inn from 1770 to 1793 and played a pivotal role in the unfolding of the Revolutionary War when it served as a base for British spies. The house and Tavern were later occupied and carefully preserved for 200 years by six generations of the Jones family until it was acquired by the Golden Ball Tavern Trust in the 1960s. Here history still lives and breathes, telling the story of change through time. Come and explore this unique Revolutionary era tavern and learn of "the spies who went out in the cold", the "other" tea party, and the eventful visit of Paul Revere's men. The Tavern is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is entirely self-sustaining. We are located at 662 Boston Post Road, Weston, Massachusetts - at the sign of the Golden Ball!

Early New England Homes has a vision to restore warmth and character to homes built today, and bring family and friends back together in the heart of the home.
